'The Broken Pack' by Hamish Dunlop. The Broken Pack is an attempt to address how opposing points of view can be united into a single cognitive frame, therefore enabling conflicting realities to be incorporated into a coherent worldview. The work looks to the rich and dynamic landscape that exists between the concepts of 'dog' and 'wolf' and 'pack' and 'individual' as metaphors and models for this process. Realised in LED-lit 2L plastic milk bottles, The Broken Pack echoes how the force of life can transform estranged resources and darkness, into vibrant, living form.
