What to Expect

Live-in Housekeeper / Artist-in-Residence – Broken Hill

BHAE is looking for a friendly, reliable person to live on-site at The Grand . This role supports access, safety, and the day-to-day operation of the building while providing a non-fee-paying residency opportunity for an artist.

  • Your own ensuite room

  • Electricity, water & internet

  • Studio access

  • Shared kitchen & community lounge

  • No accommodation fees

  • Value equivalent to $37/hr

❋ In exchange for 15 hours a week, you’ll receive:

  • cleaning shared spaces

  • preparing rooms

  • helping residents with keys or check-ins

  • watering plants

  • being around after hours for basic security

❋ Tasks include:

Minimum stay 4 weeks, up to 3 months.
