Residency farewell

In September, we welcomed six artists for the Broken Hill Art Exchange Spring Residency program, generously supported by Create NSW. Michelle Teear, Cong Yu, Connagh Redmond, Cynthia Schwertsik, Eleanora Pasti and Bronte Naylor joined us for three weeks of art making, artists workshops, dinners, cultural tours, karaoke and more!

Each artist brought their unique perspective and practice to our residency, sharing their passion and skills with the Broken Hill community and friends of the Art Exchange. We saw the time they spent here reflected in the beginnings of their paintings, video games and sculptures, and in the connection shared and created through community dinners and events. It has been an exciting and inspiring time, filled with opportunities to broaden our own creative skills and knowledge. We look forward to seeing what this time inspires in these artists and wish them all the best as they move forward from this experience. We are so grateful to Create NSW for supporting this residency.
